Customized curriculum includes Academic State Standards, National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) & National Standards, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) to improve performance in the classroom and sport arena. Student-athletes will learn shooting, passing, running, ball-handling, jumping, foul shots and physical fitness fundamentals and apply scientific and critical thinking to the physics of basketball.
Scientific Method
STEM lesson plans explore the bumps on the basketball surface area and the friction acting on it, enabling the student-athletes to pass quickly, and dribble with a tight grip. Student-athletes engage the scientific method as they use their personal measurements, activity challenges and analogies to solve the mathematics and physics of basketball equations.
